Good nutrition is one of the keys to the growth of any child. It is not only vital for your physical development, but it also strengthens your personal enrichment through values. For this reason, the right to food is also one that includes the Declaration of the Rights of the Child, which was established on November 20, 1959, to defend the basic needs of all children.

There are many children in the world who suffer from malnutrition, who are denied this basic right that appears rechoed in article number 4 of the declaration, along with housing, recreation and medical services. That is why we have always been taught the value of food, and the reasons why it should not be wasted. Now is the time to instill these values in our children, so that they understand the importance of food.

With a balanced diet, children will grow up healthy and will be able to enhance all their physical and personal abilities. That is why we must teach them to value the benefits of eating all kinds of food, and understand that they cannot always gorge themselves on treats, no matter how much they like them.

A good way for children to understand these values is encourage them to learn to cook. During the weekends or holidays, our children spend more time at home, and they are immediately heard saying: Mom, I'm bored! " to claim our attention.

There are many easy recipes adapted to different ages to cook with children. That they are the ones who touch, know and mix the ingredients will make them lose that fear of everything 'green'. When the food is ready, they will take pride in their work, so they will surely eat whatever they have on their plate without protesting.

On World Children's Rights Day, we must not forget the importance of food, of teaching our children to value this right so that in the future it is they who fight so that all children can enjoy it.
