This is the cheapest unharmed and consumable product available in Hungary in unlimited quantities. However, since it is foolish, colorless and out of the tap, it is not fashionable for children. Many schools do not even know what water is like.

Many small children and schoolchildren use water only for bathing and washing, and if they are thirsty, they drink carbonated water, preferably boxed fruit juice. But their calorie content is high. International studies have shown that there is a correlation between childhood obesity and the consumption of sugary yeasts.

According to a 2005 and 2006 survey by the National Institute for Food Safety and Nutrition (OTTI), more than 40 percent of primary school students drink sour sugary soda several times a day. When we obligated school canteen operators in 2005 to serve healthier foods, the greatest opposition came from the introduction of fresh vegetables and healthy drinks - said Oli.

Cool in the classroom

In several countries, a program that tried to make water a favorite among schoolchildren by setting up a classroom automaton in the classroom was a success. Two months in Hungary, nearly 400 children could test their thirst with water instead of sugary juices. The name of the program was HAPPY (Hungarian Aqua Promotion Program for Young). This translates as "a program for the promotion of water consumption in Hungary for young people".
The idea was very good - the educators said. The water lived for the children from the very first minute, and the tank went cold in just two days, said Katalin Felkai, former teacher of the Orphanage Elementary School, formerly István Szхnyi. As not all classes took part in the program, Class 2B became an enviable subject very soon. It was a great success when they invited other sympathetic classes to bring themselves to the water to drink.
The teacher surveyed what kind of fluid students were packing at home and found that one third of them brought sugar to school. By the end of the two-month campaign, however, two-thirds of them had been drinking less sugar than before.

That's how much 397 kids drank in two months at six different schools in Budapest. 92 percent of students served themselves at least once a day in the classroom. The success of the campaign is also indicated by the fact that 85 percent of the schoolchildren and 98 percent of their parents want us to continue the campaign.
According to experts, children 's drinking habits can change rapidly during a school year. It was also important to talk to children about their fluid intake, as several surveys show that this age group does not drink enough fluid. This can cause headache, sneezing, and concentration problems.
At the beginning and at the end of the program, the children completed a water test. Over the course of two months, they were doing water on several classes and health days, so the second test was almost flawless, and the kids learned a lot of new things about this vital fluid. What was surprising to the teachers, however, was that every fifth student had a change in his family: so the good example stuck with other members of the family.
"This can have a very good effect on your body weight and reduce your risk of obesity," said dr. Йva Martos, Director General of the National Institute for Food Safety and Nutrition.

To lose weight with water?

Yes! If a student eats 6-8 decos a day, it consumes 300 calories of excess energy. The water has no caloric content, so if an overweight child gives up sugared water, the onset of weight loss will begin.
"Childhood deprivation is spreading naturally," added Martha Martha. Every year, 400,000 children in the European Union are considered to be overweight and 85,000 children are affected by stone. After hearing the results of the program, the manager of a freshwater company shared his experiences with the campaign organizers. János Rajki said that we had launched this program in Germany as well, but there was support for the water from companies. Different companies pay for all or part of the sanitary water in the schools. By doing so, companies are benefiting in the long run because, ultimately, their prospective employees are looking to their health and working healthier is doing better and generating more profits. Gilingerné Dr. Pankotai Mбria, an associate professor at the Department of Dietetics and Nutrition at the Faculty of Health Sciences at Semmelweis University, has long been researching the nutritional values ​​and vitamins of greens and fruits.
In a presentation to Dr. Gilingernia, Dr. Pankotai Mária presented the results of their experiments in which different types of peppers were subjected to a process of ripening and reassessment, including changes in the vitamin C content.

Vegetables lose their vitamin content over time


In his presentation he showed that peppers are a very diverse plant, with many varieties, which sometimes have ripeness and other vitamin contents. It also turns out no matter when, at what point in the Irish process, peppers eat peppers.
Research has shown that the ripened state has a higher vitamin content in peppers. From this point of view, the optimum period is the peak of biological maturity, when the seed of the plant is ripe. From here on, the vitamin content decreases rapidly and continuously.
The assistant professor said that, in his research, he was overwhelmed to find that peppers of the same color, of the same state of origin, have a much lower percentage of vitamin C content. In the lecture, he said in this connection that it was unnecessary and meaningless to buy organic fruits or vegetables, because they had far less vitamin content than those derived from traditional vegetables.
Gilingerné Dr. Pankotai María emphasized: All varieties of peppers have a high vitamin C content, but they recommend the Hungarian, dark red, well-picked capsules. The capsules have a very high vitamin C content, higher than pritamin peppers.

Vitamin C tips

At the top of the list is the elderberry. According to the associate professor, the problem with elderberry is that it is difficult to process the berry, which is why the majority prefer to use its virgins, which in turn have a minimal vitamin C content. The second and third places are blackcurrants and blackberries. Both are easy to get to in Hungary, so he suggested that everyone eat as much as he could ... of course, when the produce was ripe.

The frenetic pace to which we subject children today is leaving them without strategies and without alternatives to solve those moments when nothing arouses their interest or attention, when they do not know what to do. You are leaving them with no choice in a state of apathy or disinterest caused by the feeling of not knowing what to do or having nothing to have fun with. We call that boredom.

Paradoxically, it is the children who have the most who are most bored. We explain what its causes may be.

Today's children are not more bored than those of before but they are less prepared to face boredom, they are more vulnerable to the discomfort it generates and they tolerate not knowing what to do more when they have a little free time since they lack resources to jump-start your imagination and innate creativity.

1. Excessive stimulation to children
The unbridled consumerism to which we are subjected can cause a boredom in everyone. 2. Excessive planning and control of children's activities
Children's agendas are always full and full of extracurricular activities. Parents have fallen into the error that boredom is bad and before this premise we rush to fill every second of our children's lives one after another.

We go out of our way to make life fun and exciting for them, full of extracurricular activities (music, skating, judo, dance, English, theater, ...) filling and squeezing their schedules so much that we don't let them learn to manage their time or find their own interests.

We have mistakenly believed that boredom is bad and that therefore children need to be constantly active, a misconception that is hindering the development of creative thinking in our children.

We must understand again is that boredom is the prelude to creativity. Children need time to do nothing, time to imagine, create, think, absorb their experiences or simply observe the world around them. And this is not possible if what we do is fill them with toys, plan until the last second of their lives or offer them a mobile phone or a tablet at the first sign of boredom, and here we enter the third cause of boredom that we want to highlight.

3. Screen abuse in childhood
Whether due to inertia, tiredness or avoiding a conflict, parents are abusing the use that our children make of the television, consoles, tablets, smartphones or whatever device we use to avoid their boredom.

While it is true that a responsible use of all these technologies can bring great benefits, it is also true that an abuse of them produces situations of anxiety, stress, lack of interest in other things and lack of creativity. The child who sits in front of a screen and has guaranteed fun, without having to put his creative thinking into operation in the vast majority of occasions.

The ease with which parents turn on the television or give our smartphones or tablets to children at the slightest sign of boredom prevents them from finding a way to be distracted in another way.

Thus, unbridled consumerism, excessive stimulation, abuse of screens and control of all the activities of our children result in an inability for children to find their own resources to manage their free time and therefore get bored every day more.

Children need free time, without excessive stimuli and away from the screens to imagine, create, build, observe and savor their learning through unstructured play by any adult. It is by letting the children get bored that we will get them to tell us less and less that phrase that distresses us so much 'I'm bored, I don't know what to do'.
