Plasma Car

The Plasma Car is the only proposition available on the market created for older children. Dedicated to two-year-old and older children, and really also adults.

Our three-year-old easily mastered the technique of movement on it and the ride-on proved itself while driving at a load much higher than 15 kilograms. :)

We tested the Plasma Car ride at home, outdoors, in dynamic driving, when pushing with our feet, as well as with our feet comfortably placed on the ride and while moving the steering wheel.

The ride-on did not even creak under the weight of my daughter's mother, as well as her dad's :) It really speaks well for him.

The Plasma Car has been made of durable plastic, it is quite large, so it is able to accommodate a few-year-old or his parents, and even a child and a parent. You can sit on it and push yourself with your feet, as well as move the steering wheel, which allows you to move slowly without pushing your feet.

The ride is available in several colors, to choose from on the page. The choice is definitely wider than in the case of the proposals of other manufacturers who, by offering rides for young children, provide products in one or two colors, less often three and more.

The Plasma Car is quite loud, but it is a feature of virtually all cars. It is also quite large, so taking it on vacation can be quite difficult. However, it works perfectly at home. It is also the easiest to use the option of steering a ride with the steering wheel, in the outdoors this option was much less attractive for the daughter, because she did not let her reach too high speeds.

What can happen if you don't vaccinate your baby with chickenpox

Vaccines for babies are always a controversial topic. Many parents follow the vaccination schedule to the letter and are aware of its importance to the health of their children. However, even today there are those who reject them and think they are harmful.

To raise awareness in this last group, some Australian parents whose child was not vaccinated for chickenpox, have shared on social networks the shocking photo of your baby showing the consequences that the disease has caused in your body.

The case of Elijah, 11 months old, has gone around the world. You have a disease that today is controlled in many countries thanks to vaccines: varicella. His mother, Kayle Burke, is not against vaccines, however, in Australia, where they come from, the health program establishes that babies do not receive the chickenpox vaccine until 18 months, so the little one has not yet he had defenses to fight disease.

His parents, alerted by the weakness of the little boy and by the serious blisters that appeared all over his body, took him to the hospital, where he was admitted until he managed to stabilize.

Kayle, shared these images on social networks explaining that "If you don't vaccinate your children you are a complete idiot. Think about the risk you are putting other children who are too young to be vaccinated. ”Elijah was discharged and his mom shared this photo to show how he is recovering.

1. The most common symptom of chickenpox is the outbreak of red spots on the skin, which turn into blisters, but it also causes fever, headache, tiredness, poor appetite and itching.

2. It is transmitted by contact, the possibility of contagion at school or at home is 90%.

Natural feeding versus bottle

Natural feeding versus bottle The basic knowledge of every mother about breastfeeding usually begins and ends with the statements: feed as often as possible, as long as possible, on demand, anywhere and only breastfeeding. To a large extent, that's right: mother's food contains natural antibodies, it's neither too fat nor too thin, has an ideal temperature and always tastes good. Sometimes, however, various circumstances lead moms to feed the baby with a bottle, which most often meets with a wave of senseless criticism. I will write a few words based on my own experience about why it is sometimes worth deciding to switch to a bottle.

Natural feeding ... bottle

I remember that I had no food right after giving birth. Colleagues in the postpartum room were dripping with food, and I was struggling for 40 minutes with a breast pump that looked more like a milking machine than accessories for a young mother, in order to see two drops of food at the bottom of the bottle - literally.

This is not a comfortable situation, neither for mother nor for the toddler who sucks his breast and does not eat much. Hospital specialists from the lactation clinic were steaming with anger that the firstborn could not put the baby to her breast. Meanwhile, the child was hungry and upset that he could not eat. After three visits of "lactation specialists" who massaged my breasts, pressing, pulling, pinching and performing a lot of unnecessary and unmoving movements, there was finally one young and conscious doctor who decided that food would come with time, and until this happens, the child must be fed artificially.

The basic principle of artificial feeding of a newborn baby is not feeding milk from the bottle. The baby's mouth is arranged differently by sucking the breast and the bottle teat differently - the bottle sucks easier and with less effort, so a child who learns to eat from the bottle from the first days of life may then not want to make the effort of sucking the breast.

In the hospital I was shown how to give my daughter an artificial mixture with a small glass - difficult but feasible. I looked with relief at the fed child, secretly enjoying the fact that I saved myself hurt and painful warts. After leaving the hospital, food still did not appear, so at home we were forced to give our daughter artificial milk from a bottle. And what? And nothing - there was no drama.

The child woke up, in a moment, without much effort eating and sleeping. Food, however, finally appeared. I tried to get used to and teach my daughter to suck her breast for a long time, but she just didn't eat enough - she was angry and tired, and I was quite helpless, until I came up with the idea of not obstructing my life and feeding the baby with my food, but ... from a bottle.

So I was expressing milk with the help of a breast pump, dividing it into portions, freezing the reserve and if necessary both me and every other household member could feed my daughter without any obstacles. Pros? I had no idea what those sleepless nights were: I got up for my daughter every two or three hours, heated the food that she ate from the bottle on the deckchair in five minutes and went to sleep, and I went with her. The older she was, the larger she ate portions: she didn't fall asleep at her breasts, ate the same amounts regularly, which allowed me to control my daily food intake. In addition - most importantly - it did not give me a feeling of nuisance related to sleeplessness (I got up for feeding once, my partner once), with sore breasts, getting up at tens of minutes at night (our ritual lasted at most ten minutes), and thus I didn't recognize the burden of having a newborn baby at home. After about three months, the daughter ate regularly enough to sleep almost all nights.

The balance of profits and losses

Feeding your toddler with natural bottle food has as many pros and cons. First of all, the natural food given to the baby from the breast is hygienic, has an ideal temperature, and at the same time feeding itself is part of an important ritual that creates a unique bond between mother and child. However, if for some reason, e.g. due to lack of food, specific breast structure or other defects, we are not able to give the child breast milk, let's not get paranoid!

The feed for natural feeding is huge, and yet modern baby mixtures are rich in various vitamins, probiotics and other substances that enrich baby's food and reflect mother's natural food as faithfully as possible. On the market we have a choice of a full range of products with different properties, compositions and prices. We can buy modified milk against rainstorm (thickens in the stomach), with reduced cow's milk protein content (for children with delicate stomachs), completely free of protein (for small allergy sufferers), with bacteria supporting immunity and many others. An experienced pediatrician will help you choose the right milk.

Giving the baby milk in a bottle, regardless of whether it is mother's milk or the modified mixture has some disadvantages: first, we must take care of the sterility of the bottles; secondly, after some time, both natural and modified milk are no longer suitable for giving to the child, and therefore wasted; thirdly: you have to pay for an artificial mixture and it is quite a lot. The breast is unrivaled here: hygienic, always ready and free.

The door handle fell: a bottle and that's it!

For mothers who need to get back to work quickly, have no or not enough food, for those who take medication that gets blood through their food, and for those who simply cannot cope with breastfeeding, the bottle is a godsend.

In my case, the bottle turned out to be a bull's-eye: the baby woke up at certain times for feeding, got food that I had pulled before, ate and slept on. Mum is happy and rested, because dad also helps in feeding and getting up. Artificial expressing, however, has the disadvantage that it should be kept extremely regular, otherwise the food will disappear. When the amounts of food needed for the child increase, expressing takes longer and longer, and finally begins to tire. The situation is different with artificial mixtures: here it is only necessary to ensure that the milk has the right temperature and is prepared in hygienic conditions.
Bottle feeding has the unquestionable advantage that each family member can take part in it. The sight of my dad feeding the baby lying on his lap is priceless ...

Supermama with a bottle

Although natural feeding is most convenient and most hygienic, bottle feeding can be just as satisfying, and at the same time more convenient, efficient and faster. Nobody said that a mother with a bottle is a worse mother, just like nobody has proved that a child with a bottle is a less happy child. That's why dear mothers, let's not be afraid of bottles! They were invented to make our children live better, and make us more comfortable, happier and easier.

Child baptism: how many names do you choose for your child

Child baptism: how many names do you choose for your child

One of the questions my future parents ask is how many names they can give their children at Baptism. As many of them fail to agree on the choice of a single name, and spiritual parents sometimes wish to have a say in this regard, there are numerous cases where babies receive more names at Baptism.

The Orthodox Church traditionally condemns this habit, especially since there are many situations in which parents choose the name for their children in a very superficial way, drawing on their favorite movies or songs that are in vogue.

What are the traditions of Baptism?

The mystery of Baptism is detailed in Orthodox in the book called Moliftelnic. This says that Baptism should take place on the eighth day after the baby's birth, as happened with Jesus Christ.

According to the Christian tradition, children should bear only one name, the name of a saint whose path they should follow in life.

In Romania, however, the custom has spread that noses are the ones who choose the name of the child, and as a rule their names are used. In recent years, this habit has lost popularity, with parents remaining responsible for choosing the name for their children.

However, there are cases in which parents choose the first name and the nose chooses the second. In fact, from a civil point of view, the children receive their name on the day they are born, and this name is repeated later at the Baptism service and in the Baptism Certificate.

Why give your child a single name?

If you are a good Christian, you will definitely consider the church countries in terms of choosing the name and you will give your child one at Baptism. Giving more names is a pagan custom, which the Church condemns, because it insists on the uniqueness of the person and his individuality even when it comes to Baptism.

All the Church says that the name we carry gives us a certain aura and that is why they must be chosen from among the saints in the Orthodox Calendar. Thus, more names would imply the existence and mixing of several vibrations, which can sometimes be contradictory.

According to Christian-Orthodox priests, the personality of the children will be reflected in the name they receive at Baptism, and when the children receive more names, the vibration of one of them could be either conflicting or superfluous.

In addition, without any connection to Christian traditions or other religions, choosing the name should not be a matter made to please others, but one that will serve only your child. If your whole family and group of friends would like your little one to bear their name, would you baptize him by all names? Of course you would not do that, then why would you give him the name of his nose, grandfather, yours or father, when you can give him a name that would be his only and represent him only?

An additional argument for choosing a single baptismal name is that, no matter how many names one has, someone close to them usually calls out using a single or even a alias. This means that the second and third names are only written on the birth certificate, respectively spoken during the Baptism service. No one will yell at your daughter "Sara Sofia Maria Adela", but everyone will choose one of these names, to which she will get used to answering.

How do you choose between two or more names you like?

If you have already made a list of several names that you would like for your child, you can choose one taking into account the Orthodox calendar. The Christian tradition indicates that little ones should be baptized according to their date of birth, after the name of the nearest saint.

If you do not want to respect this tradition and you do not give a holy name to your child, you can easily make a decision between several names by thinking about how you would like to call him.

How many names did you give your child at Baptism? What were the selection criteria? We look forward to your comments in the comments section below!
